FESTIC
About

A conviction that became a community.

Senegal's digital future only rises to its potential when women take their full place in it.

FESTIC history

Foundedin2016bywomenworkingintech.

A few markers of a journey carried by hundreds of women.

FESTIC is a non-profit association created in 2016 at its constitutive General Assembly, chaired by Professor Amsatou Sow Sidibé. Its founding members were professionals from the information and communication technology (ICT) sector, from major institutions such as the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Orange SONATEL, La Poste, Le Soleil, ADIE and Expresso, as well as from private companies and the wider technology world.

FESTIC helps accelerate Senegal's digital transformation through a cross-cutting target: women. It also creates an opportunity to build a peer network across women, businesses, NGOs, the government and, in particular, the institutions that harness the power of access to information to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — gender equality above all.

The association is also open to the next generation, welcoming young FESTICIENNES and so strengthening its network and widening its horizons.
